About the Job

Slater Gordon Solutions manages motor claims for insurance companies, brokers, bodyshops and fleet companies across the UK. The service assists claimants in securing car hire and repair services.

Job Purpose

As a Claims Handler your primary responsibility will be to support our customers from the initial incident through to the final resolution. The role involves efficiently handling both inbound and outbound calls in line with departmental KPI's and to maximise opportunities in a fast paced evolving environment whilst delivering exceptional Customer Service.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer care to both internal and external customers.
  • Using a bespoke IT system maintain highly accurate customer information
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures
  • Follow-up customer calls where necessary and effectively work as part of a team
  • Accurately diagnose and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure that personal targets are achieved

The Person

Applicants need to be computer-literate, although training in specific company software will be given. Have a "can do" attitude and be pro- active in finding solutions where required as well as good listening, attention to detail and possess excellent customer service skills (from any sector)

This is a full time permanent position with shift-based hours, 5 days out of 7, and weekend work is required.
